DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION

Our bins are designed and engineered to ensure maximum strength where its needed and deliver maximum performance and operational efficiency. Many safety features are included to protect the operators. First grade and high quality materials and components are used which ensures an investment which will provide many years of profitable service. New 5-spoke semi trailer hubs on new axles are fitted with new tubeless rims and sound second hand tyres.

DRIVES

Power is delivered from the tractor through a quick detachable telescopic PTO drive with universal joints, overload slip clutch and safety shields directly to the horizontal sweep auger drive spindle at the front of the bin. The discharge auger is chain driven via the right angle drive gearbox.

AUGERS

The sweep auger with a removable cover runs the full length of the bin, it is supported by sealed bearings at intervals along its length. The discharge auger is bolted to a hopper casing at the base, the upper end of the lower section is bolted to the left hand front corner of the bin, the upper section is hinged at this point. An automatic spring-loaded coupling engages the drive to the upper flight when the auger is extended. A 900mm stroke hydraulic cylinder operates the auger extension. Hydraulic shutters inside the bin regulate the flow of grain to the discharge auger, an indicator is located at the front of the bin to display the opening width to the operator. The larger bins have two sections of shutters which allows grain to be drawn from the centre or the rear of the bin.

OPERATION

The high centre of the roof line allows for maximum usable volume. Each of the professionally made tarps roll up an incline to the centre, opening the entire bin, this allows for easy filling from the header or chaser bin. Front and rear, internal and external ladder access is provided as well as a full length upper catwalk. A very heavy tow hitch and turning system enables the partly filled bin to be moved across level ground without fear of damage.

GRAIN CLEAN-OUT

A one-piece removable slide runs the full length directly under the sweep auger, easily removed, this allows for thorough cleaning. The discharge auger hopper is also fitted with cleanout covers.
